it admittedly looks gorgeous but the unignorable flaws take me out of it entirely. the ironic corny name gets me upset before i even open the level (not even taking your own work seriously?) and all these little blurbs of text being passed off as profound when the entire thing is just basic watered down philosophy that's been discussed for as long as the field has existed is really unfortunate. the geometry dash equivalent of those pop philosophy youtube channels that just talk fast with big words

Stunning. Feels like a Knots level, but even richer. Also feels like any YouTube video I can think of discussing the universe — that one MinutePhysics video about the development of the universe, 3blue1brown's videos w/ Terence Tao about how we learned to measure the universe, &c. The gameplay is reasonably fun, but not particularly noteworthy, especially compared to the visuals. The deco is all very clean; you can almost always tell what's happening (provided you do a practice run first so you can read all the text and not get distracted by it), and each part is themed after whatever the text is talking about. I love the part where your icon goes back and forth across the screen while there's a bunch of geometry and stuff that gets shown in the deco. And the storytelling — I've already said it feels like Terence Tao explaining how we know how big the universe is. Overall, this level is a beautiful experience and I highly recommend it.

its a pretty though provoking poem and i like how intertwined it is to the level, but i feel like it works as a video experience more than a gameplay experience, which as a potential gauntlet level is very counterintuitive

Space I Guess is an entry for the Space Gauntlet Constest thats about to end in like 5 days or. It covers a very interesting space related theme, which is the concept of the universe having a shape and its appearance. This level is very intimidating when you think about the message it gives. Space is huge and although were figuring it out little by little, everything else is just sheer imagination. The theme is complimented by a lot of imaginative visuals with clean transitions, great designs overall, fantastic representation of what the creator is trying to show us and more. There's a part where a wall of colorful glow and statues of what it seems, greek phylosofical figures, show up, and its pretty reminiscent of Jayuff's works, which might be unintentional but its a great way to describe it. This level is just pure mastery of the editor, every single idea is executed in a way an actual space documentary could have added this level on and it would not maje a difference.

Come on, Viprin. Competition OVER. Pack it up, this wins.

So let's talk space, i guess. As much as i'm generally not for the meta of joke-esque names for levels, I think i'm gonna let this one slide. For something like the space gauntlet, which of course is going to have thousands of flocking creators prioritizing decoration over playable gameplay, HipVillain actually tries to make structures more obvious than most, thus leading to immeasurably more enjoyable gameplay than most space gauntlet levels we have so far. Hyperrealism creators, you know who you are. While I do think some of the click patterns the level throws may feel awkward at times, I can understand it given the very low difficulty cap of a measly nine stars is hard to make actually enjoyable gameplay to.

Okay, now let's get onto the looks. Song representation? Yes, but also... no? This level is a bit of an anomaly in that the song is kind of unable to be "represented" in the more typical ways you see out in the wild. It's the kind of song I could see used in an explainer video, almost. But, HipVillain just went with it, and it works. Parts give energy when they need it, and stay calm when that's what's giving. Visuals? Yeah. Fuck yeah. One thing I especially appreciate about this level is that it doesn't take a cliché approach to space. I compare it to what flash did for his entry, Planispheres, which used star charts to represent space. Here, HipVillain opts to tell an entire story of existence, written by none other than himself. He also opts to base the visuals around that story, explaining how we have uncovered the mysteries of the universe as far back as whence we first came. How often do you see creators doing that? Text is sprawled throughout the level, yet remains subtle enough to not be a distraction while playing. It's text that's more so meant to be read while watching a video, which is fine, albeit a little one-sided in terms of how to experience this level.

If this ain't in the space gauntlet, i'm gonna be very upset. I think this is easily the best space gauntlet entry we have thus far. Shit's making me wanna pay $5000 for an overpriced time travel ticket and begin simulating my own god damn universe where we watch as the discovery of space progresses.

This is one most interesting entries for the Space Gauntlet Contest. It explores more on what we think about space, and what we as people view it as. It's got incredibly clean decoration, and the gameplay is really good. Very readable, and gets straight to the point. I would like to see this place in the gauntlet.
