You always love to see a good old redemption arc

(rewritten to be an actual review) HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY SPOILER WARNING

WOW. This is a genuine contender for best level of 2.2. I hadn't even known that Mattew made a new level until I saw Viprin's video. I only saw the beginning but that was enough to convince me to play it. I beat the level in around 20 minutes, and those were the best 20 minutes of my life. The visuals are impressive, though one part had to be censored (which goes against the level's principle of "f#%k it all, we make art") due to salty mods. The gameplay entirely consists of several boss-like encounters. Each boss has its own gimmick that helps it stand out from the rest. It's really fun to learn their different patterns and adapt each time you die. My best time is 16:22, try to beat it. Overall, I'm glad this got mythic for the sake of Mattew and the GD community.

The "they took that blue spark of life" line irks me quite a bit since Tears of Denial was a recreation that wasn't properly credited but still that disappointment is understandable. The amount of fragmentation in the storytelling paints a picture of Mattew's fractured state of mind through his bad days and I really connect with that given my own thoughts are formed in this manner (brain issue)
