Maybe my favorite top 1, though I'm not too sure about that yet. It is a damn good level that has aged BEAUTIFULLY. I'm sometimes shocked that it was made so early in 2.1, considering other levels from that time (namely Fiji by Nasgubb) have aged worse in comparison.
Plasma Pulse Finale is a perfect example of exactly how to create a level with it's style: A mix of a 1.9 and 2.1 block selection with a theme of futuristic technology and, vaguely, plasma. Unlike the previous entry, there is not one reviewing aspect that this level falls short in. It is a timing based level that miraculously manages to be generally well-balanced the whole way through, even though it is an XL level. It is also not too hard, something timing levels often suffer from. The visuals compliment the timing gameplay style very well, using a clear and to-the-point design that ages like wine. Not to mention its revolutionary status in the pantheon of top-five levels. Play this level.
Kind of a banger, I didn't hate this at all and it was really fun
The greatest top 1 to grace the game, and the perfect way to end a beloved series. Clean, yet varied design throughout the level, and fair, diverse, and consistent gameplay for nearly all the level's runtime.
