For being the parent of the Nine Circles trend, this level still manages to stand its ground amongst the hundred different remakes and copies.
The gameplay manages to be fairly interesting throughout, especially the wave section. It certainly does a great job at representing the song. The pre-drop may feel a little underwhelming at first, but I think it serves as a very fitting buildup for the drop. The ending may just be my favorite part of the level, though. Having a fairly easy memory section that is very choke-able is definitely an interesting choice, but one that makes it feel all the more climactic.
The decoration might feel a bit basic at times, but with the limitations of the editor at the time, I feel like the level manages to capture a lot of the song's vibes very well.
Definitely deserves its title as one of the best 1.9 levels of all time. I'm sure many might disagree with me, but these are just my thoughts on the level.
uhhh this level is pretty fun once you learn it, cool deco for 1.9 atleast
this level is a must if you’re trying to get better at the game—unless you’re epileptic..
anyway, this level’s difficulty maint comes from the flashy visuals during the wave, which make it a little harder to see whats going on. you eventually get used to it though. the cube and ship are pretty fun, and i love the way the level ends. the final cube is a test on you and your nerve control, as it doesnt immediately slow down. it also has some very easy memory mixed in with it, which can still trip you up if you’re too nervous. my least favorite part is the ball because i was pretty bad with remembering what to do due to how many fake orbs and pads there were. that doesn’t mean the ball is bad though. overall, this is a really fun level that’s very useful for difficulty progression. it was very ahead of its time, and has still aged pretty well. im going to leave the difficulty blank because i have no idea how to rate the difficulty of a level on this website. do i rate it for its difficulty? overall? i don’t know.
Nine Circles is undeniably one of the most influential levels in Geometry Dash history. The only issue I have with this level is that the long predrop eventually gets really boring and feels like an unskippable cutscene before the wave part. Coin placements are just right, and overall it's a fun experience, certainly a very good level if you're looking for a new hardest or to improve your wave skills.
The level is a classic for a good reason. The first and only good Nine Circles level.
A level ahead of its time, with a very big influence that lasts up until today even. Although i don't believe it aged very well.
while iconic for sure, nine circles just doesn't feel that fresh at this point, its style has been unfortunately overdone since and it just doesn't do much interesting to avoid that general comparison to other levels
I enjoyed this a lot and all of the waves get very consistent. The gameplay is well balanced and it has better gameplay than most nc levels.
I remember when this level released. It was huge, everyone was playing it and I believe that's because it was one of the most creative levels of 1.9. It started one of the biggest level trends in GD history.
Amazing!! o((>ω< ))o
