early 2.1 megacollabs are currently an era that are showing their true colors to me in the last few months for the first time, and this is a very good example of one of the levels that i always thought was interesting but felt like it was lacking something or was kind of incoherent. the thing is a lot of the classic viprin and korean collabs from 1.9 and 2.0 are kind of incoherent, but they slowly make more and more sense as you get more familiar with them, and this is a very good example of that happening again, because it's both an unofficial part of a viprin series (one of very few if any i find successful in doing this) and has a lot of korean/korean style design. now that i really understand what it's going for this level goes hard as fuck, actually. the incoherence gives to a chaotic identity of its own, both representative of an era of (mostly) design and interesting diversions from the norm. it's always something to keep in mind that's it's really hard to tell in the moment which levels like this are actually good and you're not noticing, and which are less than stellar, it's something integral to gd level appreciation and history in general
