Already an uninspiring blob of red mess, the fact that this was a stolen collab version of a level that's 10 times better is the cherry on top. There's nothing redeemable about this level at all. It ruins anything Necropolis had built up, the gameplay is the usual grandpa demon Riot bullshit, and to top it all off it has severe megacollab syndrome. This would have no reason to exist as a standalone level, but its existence as a spinoff of a far superior version of the same level really nails in the coffin.

Riot is as horrible as GuitarHeroStyle, or at the most realistic, the same level as SpaceUK. No respect + stealing + nuking the GD community with soulless slop levels, especially with Acheron and Aeturnus + encouraging more people to build more soulless slop.

so here's a fun story for you all

Remember Necropolix by Namtar? There was a point in time back in 2.0 when NecropoliX was supposed to be a collaboration between Namtar and Riot. There was some good progress on the level already (previews 1, 2), but the level wasn't really close to being done. The collab came to be during Namtar's twitch build streams, one of the parties probably figured out that Namtar wouldn't be able to verify the level on his own, and Riot's involvement would, understandably, boost level's popularity. To make his involvement more evident, on top of verification, Riot proposed to remake some portion of NecropoliX's layout (Riot's gameplay is infamously never good, Namtar later admits that he didn't like Riot's changes to the layout). All's cool and dandy until Namtar starts taking a long time (not) working on the level. A year passes while Namtar is doing sidequests of building in projects such as SUBVERSIVE, Bloodlust and more which never saw the light of day.

And at this point of the story Riot's villain arc kicks in. After waiting for about a year, without any communication with Namtar, the buddy decides he can't pass up on the opportunity of making his name relevant again. Riot comes up with an absolutely fantastic idea. With NecropoliX's up-to-date copy which he had at the time, he'd bring random people on board (such as Stormfly who'd act as a second host, Trusta, Platnuu, Zhander, Zimnior, etc) and turn the level into a megacollab and build on the most recent copy of NecropoliX. The way Namtar finds out that his level was getting turned into a megacollab is by discovering through his friends that some of the collab members (Platnuu and Zhander) were build streaming their parts on twitch. Apparently, not even megacollab members were aware of the fact that the entire thing was getting into a megacollab without Namtar's consent. Understandably, absolutely flabbergasted by this gamer move of epic proportions, Namtar finally establishes contact with Riot and sees what's up.

Riot's justification to stealing NecropoliX was the fact that Namtar was taking too long, so he, as the second collaborator attached to the level's name, whose only contribution up until that point was making original layout's gameplay worse, felt like he had to step in and take control over something that he thought belongs mostly to him. After taking Namtar's work, still has the audacity to say that he respects Namtar as a creator and hopes that he can remain as the verifier while implying that Namtar is the one stealing Riot's hard work, gameplay's Holy Grail (45.20/100 enjoyment rating on the enjoyment list).

The consensus was reached, Riot's gameplay was removed from NecropoliX completely, restoring Namtar's original vision, while Necromancer, using Riot's portion of NecropoliX's gameplay, became its own thing.

So how's the result?

It's great! It is a pretty fun remake of the original with clean and consistent design decisions. I really like that the final section of the level keeps the original's vision by also changing the color scheme to blue. Admittedly, the level is a bit rushed, since Namtar speeded NecropoliX's build process in order to become THE Necroplis remake at the time, but with that in mind I think the level turned out pretty good.

Right, and as for Necromancer.

Despite Riot ditching the level onto another host at some stage of level's development's, the final result is pretty consistent with Riot's other works, being an ugly uninspiring red and black mess devoid of any charm or remarkable gameplay. As an added bonus, the level also got stuck in verification purgatory, releasing 2 years after the level was finished. From its very beginning till the very end, this level was a complete shitshow and it shows.

As for Riot, after leaving the game and coming back yet again for the billionth time, he dropped a hot Twitter take, encouraging Xanii to steal Sonic Wave Infinity's upload, showing that after all these years he still has very little respect for people who create in this game.
