Old level with a lot of charm

def not one of my coldest takes, but i like this level a lot. the most notable thing about this level (apart from how easy it is for a demon) is how it uses mirror portals as decoration. it really gives the level a messier feeling, as if you're traversing an environment struck by a storm. the drop has really solid song representation to me (especially with the bass), and i see this part as walking on a road. the flashing colors def helps ties all this together for me as well. its a weird one, but i do genuinely like this level a lot ignoring some gp flaws

This is a literal layout and is it only rated because of these balls made of portals? What? What? What?

Awesome level tho 10/10

The Lightning Road is a level whose only redeeming quality is that it’s one of the easiest demons in the game. I don’t think it’s free as some parts are unsightreadable, but with a few practice runs beating this should be a cakewalk for anyone who has beaten Time Machine.

Aside from being a free demon, there isn’t really anything interesting or fun about this level. It’s your typical 1.0 slop with mirror portal spam, fake paths, easy but awkward ship parts, etc. A lot of this isn’t Timeless Real’s fault - that was just the industry standard back in 1.0. However, many other levels used this style better in my opinion.

The colors and designs are really striking, they really do give out the Lightning vibe. I also really like how some spikes are black and require the bg pulse in order to see, its like peeking in the darkness. this map is awesome
