(re-review)

at first i hated this level because it took 30 minutes to beat in the gauntlet. upon replaying it though, it’s probably my third favourite level in the cursed gauntlet (behind im dead and death moon). the gameplay is MOSTLY pretty good aside from some weird transitions and the visuals are good as well.

In all seriousness, though, I loved this level. The gameplay was super fun to learn and felt really good to pull off, despite a couple of minor inconsistencies in the first half. The blackout part at the end felt especially creative; the flashlight idea definitely contributed to the level's overall spooky aesthetic. The only thing that confuses me about the deco is the random Japan-themed part right before the blackout part, which at least matches the change in tone of the song, but still feels kinda out of place. The other parts were varied enough that it didn't feel too jarring, though.
