Not as bad as APT but still really bad.
FUCK peer pressure I'm going back and admitting the old endscreen was better than the after effects bullshit. Anyway
When I really like a particular level for its history, I usually have one particular version I get attached to above the rest. SWI is no exception, this certainly isn't the version I like the most, and if anything this is the perfect example of a version I don't like. No extension, worse deco, disappointing difficulty, just generally inferior
The original Sonic Wave was no masterpiece, yet Sonic Wave Infinity still fails to meaningfully iterate. Most of the NC effect feels very unlively, and in general, it feels like a space theme was slapped onto here without much regard for what it would do for the level besides make it more rateworthy. The end screen is also embarrassingly long to sit through; it should be updated to add an end trigger (you can do that without screwing up the percentage, just hack verify the version that gets uploaded). Force buffing it to top 1 is the cherry atop the industrial level cake. All this effort for a work that has ultimately become forgotten by many, and I imagine future APTeam projects that take this path will succumb to the same fate.
This level isn't supposed to be good, it's entire purpose was to place at the top of the demonlist. They just took sonic wave, buffed it and redecoed it. The riot legacy version is 10x better than the slop that AP Team made and that's basically just sonic wave again.
