VoTcHi and SyQual please finish The Hallucination extension

Another high-intensity good-but-not-great SyQual duo collab which I used to like a lot more. Great effects, really the highlight of the level (that double spike is genuinely up there as one of the best jumps ever), there are some good designs, and a few specific moments in the gameplay are just perfect. That being said there's a fine line between making something high-speed in a good way and making something go by too quickly, and this level is hopping back and forth across that line like a rabbit

The Hallcuination is a level that works well when you are in the right mood and headspace for this game. It is absolutely rough to try and keep yourself stable when playing this level due to how mentally degrading it can feel. The wave and click patterns for this level can be very awkward and intimidating for a lot of people which ends up lowering their enjoyment for it, but besides that it is a very solid level. Things like the predrop and some clicks in the end should have taken a little more time in the editor, especially the predrop due to it being too hard for a predrop in my opinion. It is a solid level overall and it is very satisfying to play.

The Hallucination has really really good parts, an amazing song that is complimented well, but quite a dull and boring predrop.

The predrop is much much harder than the rest of the level, making progress extremely slow and annoying, the predrop is also quite dark and boring to look at, as well as feeling very static. However, the waves have an incredibly intense and menacing atmosphere, supported by intense, flowy style gameplay. The waves flow extremely well and are EXTREMELY satisfying and fun to play, there is genuinely not a single other wave level as cool to play as this one and this more than makes up for the lackluster predrop. The postdrop is obviously not as good as the waves themselves however its perfect for building up stress when you are from 0 or in big runs and is perfect at representing the slow part of the song.
