For all the graphic violence devin's had in his previous levels, I don't know that any of them cross into surrealism as this one does. Wonderfully personal, but the haze of consciousness gets less exciting and more tiring as the level goes on.
Some parts turn me tf off but some show real promise for future of devin nation
Devin has one of the most definite styles in all of GD, and I can appreciate him for sticking to it so clearly even if I don’t always think it results in the best thing for the level. This is a good case in point for that; I dislike how some structures in this level are ill-defined, but I find it admirable that Devin didn’t compromise with jump indicators or other such nonsense.
love this level just like all of devin’s work but unfortunately i can’t call it his best. most of the ideas here as cool as they are feel a little underbaked in comparison to some of his shorter levels, it’s just barely missing the raw power his other work is so iconic for
just feels so dense and huge. a living, breathing world.
