I think the attention to the darkness of Crimson Clutter gives it an edge over other Nine Circles levels of its time, but sadly one good decision is still in service of a Nine Circles level- terrible otherwise.

actively bothers me this isnt extreme

I like the color contrast and the switch to a darker color pallet, but the NC trend is fairly exhausted by this point in time. The gameplay is stellar, however.
