I am a very big fan of this level. Even outside of knowing Zeptrus personally, I love the theming and message behind Death. Both in its gameplay style being close to Lit Fuse, one of my favorite Insane Demons, and its visual style similarly following. I also love how it utilizes its long length and song to tell a story without words, and honor the person it was dedicated to.
i like this level
I really like what this level is doing, I enjoy the simplicity of the whole thing as it brings more down to earth and close to get you more comfortable
it does everything right in representing what death even feels like, the song is a perfect choice as it has that sort of "finishing" atmosphere, like something is coming to a close, which happens to be your death, the beginning is very slow which I think is good, you've only just entered the reliving of your past and your memories as recollecting as you go through this part. once the title of the level passes you enter the first uhh drop? its a very bright section paired with simple but a little confusing gameplay which goes well into what I think this part is, your struggles, with the moving blocks in the background showing what your brain is doing.. thinking all the damn time!! as your problems are complex they have many paths that you can choose, but most are bad, this is represented in the gameplay where only the right path leads you to the next part which is kind like an intermission, kinda like the first bit but once its done, we get to the middle part with the most intense part of the song, which is also one of my favourite bits as it feels like you're reliving your best moments, it feels really powerful because it was your best times so you probably feel genuinely happy during this bit, past the drop with this long drawn out section is really nice as well, it feels like you're now at peace with your death, it just needs to finish which happens in the final Ascent where you bounce up via a series of jump pads as it fades to complete whiteness, peace even, the last thing you'll see (most likely as I haven't died yet so I don't know)
all I've said is probably real random but it just be what I thinks, other than that this level is genuinely fantastic and I hope more people beat it (despite the Extreme Tier barrier), I really like how it represents things in a really emotional way despite the simplicity and that's why I think its a near perfect level!!!!!!
