As many of you are no doubt aware, there has been a recent issue with many users using Discord being falsely banned for abbreviating "Creator Points," a common part of Geometry Dash that is frequently in conversation. Even RobTop himself was banned.

For Users:

• Cleanup - if you have been active in any public server no matter how far in the past, check for occurrences of the abbreviation "CP" via Discord's search function. It is recommended to remove or edit these messages.

• Don't abbreviate - hopefully goes without saying when referring to creator points to type out the full phrase or find an alternative abbreviation which is not likely to get your account suspended
  

⚠️ IMPORTANT for to people trying to reconnect: With many accounts being suspended and many people opting to make alts, this is a very opportune time for scammers claiming to be someone they aren't. Be sure to be careful and make sure you are talking to the person you think you are.

For Community Leaders:
It is recommended that you take the following actions to protect your community

• Disable message history - as a temporary measure this prevents malicious actors from searching back and continuing to report users, however you many want to give some users a chance to delete or edit their messages since they won't be able to with this option enabled unless you purge them yourself if you find it necessary (PLEASE take care not to blanket erase historical information!)

And for everyone, be sure to keep up to date and inform others. Discord has yet to respond on this matter as a whole so if any changes occur you can use this thread to document findings and progress on this matter and I'll be sure to update this post with important details.
