tldr explaining why i and you should quit the site until

• more responsible and active admins

• people who actually listen to the suggestions and users

hyperbolus has been a site I've adored for around a month and it's been great meeing alot of people here but holy HELL are the people running this incompetent first the same guy keeps joining and tanking levels with ai and it usually takes >a day to ban them and other people just giving levels 1s and 0s without even thinking not getting atleast very restrictions

if the site admins keep up with this behavior it's going to last atleast 3 months until the ship sinks so here's the pros and cons of leaving while you can

PROS

• stop supporting the lazy behavior

• make them realize and possibly fix the site

• touching grass

CONS

• Live in a hellish shithole for 3 months while admins do nothing to stop people being able to instacreate alts upon being banned

• Site most likely shutsdown

• bots take over

so yeah I hope this rant i made half asleep delirious on melatonin makes some sort of change peace for awhile

idk if you're in the discord but seebeyond is working her ass off to improve the site all the time and this is a pretty knee-jerk response to what is essentially a passion project by a handful of people. I agree that better moderation is needed but you also need to realize that the massive influx of users was totally random and unexpected from a dev perspective. Give it some time, even your proposed solutions aren't gonna happen overnight

I buy the "more moderation is needed" argument but encouraging people to leave the site, potentially damaging it permanently and maybe even killing it has gotta be one of the most insane stretches ive seen in months

ah yes the best answer to everything just "quit" or "boycott" anything you don't like

hey, so just a PSA for everyone here, we (moderators) now do have tools to help moderate the site. pretty rudimentary at the moment but they'll become better as time goes on. should still be enough to curb the wave of wkgames alts and review spam/abuse. please use the report feature whenever something comes up or just let us know in the discord and one of us will deal with it asap
