Rating Curve

i don't really want to get in on the discussion of this level, because i don't really care, but what strikes me the most about it is the random thoughts snuck into parts with phrases. it's kind of redundant to say but that's just what your mind is actually like. or at least mine. and i love art which embraces that chaos, "a vertical slice of my mind" is a theme and idea that comes up again and again in my more experimental art and that alone is what i take from this over anything else, it's a great method to communicate unbridled sincerity, and i take direct influence from how this level does that

tho rob putting this in a gauntlet is one of his most inexplicably weird and kinda insensitive moves. you really putting straight forward vent art among knots and loco levels? (as some famous levels have a little element of cathartic vent art in them) i am glad no one seems to care because i've never seen anyone mention this fact, so don't you go and start some discussion on twitter about it because it's not really much deeper than that, its just like, wtf rob

probably one of the most extreme 'classics i never see anyone talk about anymore', this one made a really big impression on me and a lot of people in 1.9, like if you're curious what a culuc or a bli or whatever the zeitgeist art 'best creator' is when you're reading this looked like then, it was this. not the first sunset level and definitely not the last (though the style's been dead since early 2.0) but really the primeval example of what a sunset level is, at least this side of it (the style popularized by x8px was probably the most widespread)

oddly enough though the non-sunset parts are probably my favorite part. the first 4 seconds of this level are basically perfect as far as i'm concerned, really clouded my memory of what this level was

very random gauntlet inclusion (though the early gauntlets were prone to that) but still one of skittens more memorable levels for sure. yet another fusion of modern and design which is not neodesign (though obviously this predates it by like.. 4 years?). another where it's very much worth keeping in mind that there really wasn't anything like this then

wow this has not aged the best with the proliferation of art-y modern stuff, and like the style of this is pretty much just the end is nigh (which you should definitely play or watch someone play at some point, cool ass game) but it still holds a slightly special place in my heart, def one of my more favored skittens. still has the same appeal it once did, wonderful simplicity and pacing, very easy but somehow satisfying gameplay. distinctions for a lot of skitten but at some of its best here

creative modern adjacent level. loses a bit of steam, but still decently unique

this is the currently online version of ecropolis that has the most likes that is accurate. original is by euLna, used to be rated. another classic zobros upload, weird gameplay, weird visuals, not a very -cropilis song. still very charming though. imo a valid -cropolis level, despite not having much in common with any of them but necropolis in one part
