easily one of the most important design levels ever made. darnoc right before 'darnoc style' hits (read: crunchy apple remakes), and still so many elements of iconic levels were copied from it (notably speed racer), and it inspired so many people to really birth standard (western) design into being. darnoc's not really my favorite (only one i consider an 8 is steam chamber, which i adore) but you cannot deny his creativity and his impact on this game, they got him for the GD10 video for very good reason
very clean and focused 1.9 design level. vaguely reminds me of namtar but there's no real direct correlation. lot of 1.9 levels can be a little unfocused or feel like they're missing something but this one's very well constructed. just be sure to practice the buildup ball!
ok i'm glad i checked coz i was about to go on raszagal's copy of this level like 'wow this is really sentient for an infamously bad creator'. no. its just a woogi level. a really good woogi level (as most are)! i feel really stupid now, i know this level from the secret way on the copy cuz i saw that years and years ago like 'what was that one korean blue level with the secret way?'. so i'm glad i found this again and i'm mostly tracking that here
biggest flaw here is that it's basically the same design all the way through. kinda gives it more of a zenthic vibe, lends credibility to the raszagal thing but obviously that's not the case. but it never ceases to amaze me just how incredibly creative woogi gameplay is and this is a prime example, especially for being on the earlier side of 1.9, just out of the gate he knew all these tricks and used them, and his levels i'm not as familiar with continually wow me, gameplay ideas still holding up nearly a decade later. probably need to spend some more time with all the woogi levels!
random rated level #1
late 2.0 dynamic design level with typical taman/haon influence with a bit of darnoc and maybe adiale. still fairly distinct with its density, throwing new designs at you every couple seconds for most of its relatively long for the time/style minute and a half runtime. song starts in a kinda unconventional spot but it works
-1 gameplay point for the very random bug in the cube dual though
2.0 era taman isn't quite complete without this one. not as huge now as it used to be but this level was massive, one of the most well known levels of its difficulty for sure, evidenced by the like 4 rated remakes of it or whatever, kinda can't believe it's not even at a million downloads (750k right now). the gameplay can definitely be kinda awkward at times (though the other half is very fun) and jerkrat's part's not the best, but it's definitely a classic
