Rating Curve

I made this level for Para's creator contest in which you had to tell a story in a level without using any text. I managed to win this contest which was awesome. I think I did pretty good with this, the 'story' being a progression of the player's icon ascending to the afterlife. I think I did a great job with the song representation in this, its my favorite aspect of the level. I also think that conceptually I got the story across decently well, though in certain parts I feel like I could have incorporated the themes of afterlife better and others I could have been more subtle. One of these key areas I wish i was more subtle with is the red section right before the drop, where theres a field of parallaxes crosses which I think has aged quite poorly. On the topic of crosses, I think I actually did very well during the drop by incorporating crosses into the structuring. For longer structures I did a combined double-cross structure that I think look fairly similar to Shinto gates, which spices up the diversity in religious imagery. I also mainly used Christian imagery in this because its just what I'm most familiar with and I think it looks quite nice aesthetically so it was fun seeing how I could incorporate the imagery of heaven into the level. The parts I really love and think hold up great are the beginning mini cube and the drop, which I think is one of the best looking parts I've made to this day. Overall I feel pretty happy about this level even though there is a lot I would do different. Good job gogbone
