Orbdancer is by far one of if not my favorite platformer in the entire game. the open nature of the gameplay pairs well with xxuser's hypnotic deco style, creating a small but beautiful world to explore. The fact that this isn't epic is a mystery to me.
This is easily one of the most bizarre levels I have ever seen, and I love it. cw2003 makes levels for himself, and just puts his strange creations out into the world for all of us to be confused by.
This is probably one of the only classic levels to have a cohesive plot, but it's just as strange as the rest of the level - you serve as the sole member of a candidate's political campaign staff. What campaign, you may ask? The one where the winner gets sacrificed and has their bones added to a colossal automaton used to slay an ancient bird god, of course! What else would it be?
The tasks that you are given in order to ensure your candidate's success are... dubious. after you kill six cultists for the bird (depicted as various objects in the collectibles tab), you are tasked with harvesting the ballots for EVERY candidate, not just yours, and your candidate has to win in order for the level to progress (I feel that it's worth noting that your candidate got the least votes).
Interspersed throughout the level are flashbacks to the candidate as a child being with his mother, with the mother describing the bone election and its purpose.
In addition to the surreal nature of the story, there are tons of tiny details that add to the experience - You give a small monster a book to make him happy, you die if you kill the wrong collectibles, fish are used as balloons, these are only a fraction of the details that give this level its personality
Truly one of the best levels in the entire game. easy 10/10.
Zylenox...
I wish that all hell levels tried to be as good as Triple Six does
I love fever dream levels like this
An extremely unique experience taking the form of a Geometry Dash level. the first half of the level is entirely dual, representing love between two people. In contrast, the second half has only one player, making it far easier but lonely. additionally, the first half is full of pretty nature themed decoration, but over time, it fades away, leaving a basic map pack-esque level, and a feeling of loss along with it.
The only extreme demon to be made entirely by one person, even the song. Once again, Manny proves that he is a master of his craft. this level can only be described as a masterpiece.
Manny can be called nothing short of a genius. the gameplay, decoration, and song all come together perfectly to create a level unlike any other.
The gameplay in this level is incredible. It's a crime that this isn't very well known, because this is genuinely some of the best gameplay I have ever played. The bossfight is incredibly unique, using toggle orbs and follow player triggers instead of just haphazardly putting obstacles everywhere. I couldn't recommend this more.
An amazing idea with stellar execution.
