adorable level. i love those little critters so much and seeing them frolicking happily at the end added an extra 5 years to my life
does a shocking amount with such minimal composition. the structures are always interesting, even in the opening stretch, and the layered progression is really engaging and meaningful. really gets you thinking about the widespread use of terms like "bare" and "empty" as inherently negative observations and how useful those criticisms really are (or aren't!) in level critique
shockingly ahead of its time + predates a lot of "experimental" creating trends but it's kind of hard to love it as i've seen pretty much every novel idea in this level done better in others
god every single design choice in this level fucks so hard. it gets crowded every once in a while (not a flaw!) but still everything feels balanced and intentional, especially the gameplay, which kind of morphs around its environment instead of paving through it. Also a crazy cool final part
odd to look back on this and actually recognize all the influences and where the design elements come from. the artists the level references aren’t plagiarized, their work is actually being engaged with, understood, and adapted to a different medium (gd). mindblowing stuff here, one of the coolest ever
beautiful level. the most earnest and sincere storytelling i’ve come across in the game. it adapts its ideas in such a special way, goes so far beyond “gimmick” in a way so few conceptual levels do. This one will stay with u forever after that first playthrough
very clean and well-designed, the chocolate part is really cute and a major stand-out. i kind of wish the rest of the level had an interesting theme or something because that part kind of leaves me wanting more unfortunately, though the interesting ideas are definitely there (the first part's use of size portals is pretty clever) but sort of inconsistently implemented. the last part loses it a bit with the seemingly lazy gameplay and same-y block designs but besides that the level is pretty fun to look at, certainly one of the better minimalist modern levels i've seen
this is the best extreme in the game hands down. great designs all around and the gameplay is super engaging and fun to figure out, the marathon concept is completely unique and executed perfectly as well. also worth noting the amount of variety there is here considering it's nearly five whole minutes of memory-centric cube gameplay. i hope to beat this someday
it’s weird and amateurish but genuinely really interesting and it does a good job of staying on theme and creatively engaging w/ said theme. Unfairly hated
every part here has so much love just poured into it it's impossible not to be completely smitten with this level. the designs utilizing weird underused blocks and funky colors just makes it twice as charming. such a perfect piece of the game, really feels like geometry dash at its best
