some of the best use of raw simplicity and atmosphere since OG modern, i really like this a lot and would be surprised if it’s not in my top 25 favs at the end of the year
a personal favorite platformer of mine, probably one of my faves of 2025. it’s just so replayable and enjoyable, a bit of a comfort level if you get my drift. unique concept of finding scraps to build up a rocket and escape a planet. simple but very very very fun to play!
memorable and classic. one thing i like about this level is the wide usage of hue which has somehow kinda dropped from the creating meta. i see a lot more monochrome glow levels today than i used to, same with modern being more color template-coded. maybe my meories are being selective tho!
very underrated and raw modern level ! i have always had a straight up bias for this level because i think it's super fun and silly and fun to play. a unique bug modern theme that is relaxed and sweet, i wish i could describe more gd levels as "wholesome"
very replayable and very well put together. ik this is gonna sound dumb but the level name is also perfect and memorable.
wanted to review this because the only other person who did rated the diff way too high lol. the visuals are awesome minus the last like part and a half or so where the player is attacked by an evil swarm of puzzle blocks. gameplay can be jank but i like it that way sometimes iykyk
Szilu has always occupied this odd little space where a lot of the glow creators don't lay any claim to him, and a lot of the snobby creators who make these weird alt levels (like the people who use Hyperbolus) don't either. This has always been really weird to me because, as von altfrau demonstrates, he has a really clear handle on gd design and glow usage that I think will age really well. His object usage has always jumped out at me as really ahead of the curve because of how subdued it is. This whole level is basically just block designs, a background with some cool 3d, and area effects. Despite this simplicity (or maybe because of it) it is very well polished and quite fun to play. Not much to say on this level, I just really like it.
Really big fan of this level. It uses the premade assets in GD like wooden blocks to buuld up this great atmospheric scene before the big reveal of the tornado, which is almost villanous with how much impact it has on the story of the level, though simple. Awesome lvl !!!
