One of the first 2.2 levels I've really truly connected with. Beautiful style with super technically impressive effects (that snowflake... my god...) that matches an equally beautiful song incredibly well. My only complaint is that I feel the ending is a bit abrupt. Personally, I would have tried to use the whole song, since the level is already at a considerable length and what was left of the song could have easily been used to carry on the atmosphere the level establishes earlier on. Still, overall, this is an amazing piece of work and an absolutely insane thing to have as a first rate.

The best platformer. Period. A deceptively simple-looking visual style pairs beautifully with impeccable sound effect and song usage to create the closest thing to a flawless atmosphere I think I've ever experienced in this game. The gameplay incorporates some super interesting (albeit at times a bit buggy) gimmicks that are intuitive but don't baby the player. This combined with the aforementioned atmosphere creates a truly special experience. Plus 1374 being in the credits as a playtester and bugfixer proves that they're alive, which is an added bonus.

This level not being epic is nothing short of theft. Whether you like it or not, this is one of the most impressive 2.1 levels I've ever played. Though I have to admit that I don't fully understand what exactly is going on some of the time, being the diehard Reunomi fangirl that I am, I have to give this a 10/10. Anything less would be betraying myself.

This level changed me as a creator. My twelve-year-old self was OBSESSED with figuring out how every little thing in this level worked, and even now I can't help but be in awe of what iISpaceDustIi accomplished, and still continues to accomplish, with the GD editor. I do think he should have committed to either an auto level or a level with gameplay, but aside from that I think this may be the best of the best in terms of "flashy realism levels". Something about the 2.1-ness of it all just hits in a way newer levels don't.

This level is deeply special to me. One of the first times I really realized that yes, building atmosphere is perfectly achievable in Geometry Dash, and yes, a level being peaceful can be good. It's hard to explain just how magical the level felt when playing it for the first time, but even today that magic persists. Easily Denipol's best, and I think a lot of creators could learn from how this level approaches realism.

There is a very high chance that not a single person alive will agree with me when I say that this is the single best level in the game, but I don't care. King of Lemons is a masterpiece the likes of which I doubt will ever be replicated again for a variety of reasons, chief among them being that I genuinely don't think there is anyone else like cw2003 gb alive on this earth right now. I have long been of the opinion that cw2003 is the best creator of all time, and where A Fishing Trip cemented that within my mind, King of Lemons is the absolute, undeniable confirmation that that is the case.

cw2003 has time and time again proven their ability to seamlessly integrate a narrative into a Geometry Dash level, and although their previous (and later) works are certainly spectacular, King of Lemons goes above and beyond in a way that I just don't think can be done justice in a review like this. While I have yet to cry at any level, King of Lemons certainly made it a close thing.

cw2003 gb has long been one of my favorite creators in the game, and this level is what really cemented that for me. The level manages to create such a strong atmosphere from a completely ridiculous concept that you forget how silly it all is by the time the level is over, an achievement that is carried by cw's outstanding storytelling skills. Everything about the level, from the song to the gameplay, serves one purpose: get the story across. An absolutely spectacular creation all around.
