Simple but excellent. Even with the primitive block designs and effects the decoration still conveys the feeling of bliss perfectly, with excellent color and pulse usage.
As for its gameplay, some parts are a little janky in execution, like the pads in the ball and most of the robot part in general. But from a design standpoint, I love it. Especially at the ending, I love how there are multiple ways to complete a section, which makes the gameplay (while still being hard) have a sense of freedom. I've seen some people complain that the ending is too open, and I thought it was too until I realized the stars have hitboxes.
Seeing and playing a level like this in this day and age is so special.
As the first place winner of a gauntlet contest, I was disappointed, but not surprised. The art isn't my cup of tea but it's good and has its own charm. As a viewing experience it's fun to watch, but as a level (that should be) meant to be played it falls completely flat. Almost all of the gameplay past the drop is obstructed by annoying effects and objects in the foreground, and adding invisible slopes as a band-aid fix doesn't help it at all. It would have been better off as an auto level or a high insane/easy demon instead of this bizarre middle ground. It's not fun, and I think it's really bad if the viewing experience is somehow better than the playing experience on a 3 Star. I really dislike that levels like these are awarded over others despite the glaring gameplay issues.
