No reviews- so let me be the first! I never thought I would love this level so much when I first saw it, but something about the story and incorporation of the dialogue really spoke to me in an amazing way. The idea of making a level going through future's mind here is done so well (especially in certain parts, I love the rainy part where you carry an umbrella) and progressing to what is basically a mental breakdown is done extremely well.
I also love the fact that you can click in the last part to make the cube blink, totally unnecessary but an endlessly endearing feature that shows how much love and care went into this level. Amazing and certainly a great recommendation from yours truly.
Masterpiece. I have never seen a level before or since do what this level does and that makes it truly one of a kind to me. Every path is so well thought out and the fact it changes the level significantly is beyond cool- not to mention both randomized bossfights and the fact which boss you can get is random itself! My personal favorite route is puzzle master, but every path is amazing and great in its own ways, and this level went on to inspire me for years to come (namely in Anahita, go figure!)
A level so good it made me want to break my playing drought and beat what would be my final hardest completion. Goner is a beautifully chaotic level that features what is likely the best part in any level, the wave. Most of my specific praises can be directed to the wave as I think it is a masterclass in how to pay off emotional buildup. Everything is just so perfect about this level.
Estufa! This level has a lot more to it than meets the eye, with so many great aspects that it can almost get confusing to remember them all! This level makes use of an absolutely amazing song represented to perfection by Samamba's creative direction, made all the more surprising considering this is their first rated level. This level features randomized gameplay in it that can (although rarely unfair) keeps you always paying attention and makes for a great playing experience. Couldn't recommend it enough, just for the bullet hell sections if anything.
I'll leave the review at an average 5/10 just so I can write a review of my own work since I feel this level is old enough to escape and bias I had for it at the time. I still love what this level attempts to go for in deconstructing unoriginality- though the execution is definitely shoddy at times. Song usage is still top tier and the long empty section is still a good choice to build tension. Love it as much as the day I made it.
Beauty of a level. Lexy always has a way of making something pretty strange that I end up absolutely loving and this is no different. My love of this level is certainly in part due to the song, but the decoration and song representation is amazing especially at the drop and ending. I love the cats what can I say?
Whg3 Lv5 is the so called "Final Boss" of a trend that resorts to recreating the same thing every time, though at least this time it is in the form of a slightly different version. I still think Whg3 Lv5 delivers nothing new and comes off as a husk of something that has been beaten to death for years now.
