Rating Curve

i have a strong bias against this level. another generic top 1 hell level. COMBINED with the wave spam that all the top players love lmao. and then it's edgy on top of that. i held a grudge against spaceuk when he verified it just because of that edit he put before his "verification". all the vibes of this level threw me off. at least the guy got exposed. at least this means that firework was technically top 1 for longer than like 8 seconds.

i was never really a fan of the riot top 1s, especially not hell-themed top 1s. but i have to make an exception here. the modern 1.9-like levels seem overdone at this point, but this level feels perfect because it does all of that stuff well. the way the colours shift at times. the way the red is balanced out by the black, it's just not a stain of red on your screen a lot of times. the way the whole screen is filled with unique stuff (that isn't just a billion glow objects). it's like being stuck in this claustrophobic machine that you can't get out of. and it really fits what the level is trying to be. especially with the inhumane looking gameplay. especially with this song that feels so unique for a gd level. a song from doom that doesn't sound like what you'd expect when you hear "gd top 1" but goes so hard. the fact that people are already making progress on this is insane.
