Anyway, this level is honestly not too good, final rooms kinda just kills the level from a gameplay standpoint, ESPECIALLY because like 50% of said room is kinda just not hard with only a few jumps massively bumping the diff of this room to being as hard as it it,
Its honestly a huge shame because the rest of the gp before said room is honestly not too shabby, Its actually quite varied and honestly kinda fun, since it does go out of its way to use different gamemodes, Plus the level looks pretty nice, even if a little more progression visual wise wouldve been appreciated. Yea
Ascension tower is, while repetitive and clearly one of Cubical's first works, is very thematically cool and uses its limited palette to great effect. Good atmosphere.
The decoration of Ascension Tower is very clean and pleasant to look at, if repetitive, but if you're playing a level of this difficulty you won't care about the pretty visuals after thousands of attempts. Especially if 95% of those attempts take place on the final room, since it takes up by far most of the challenge of this level, taking me three days to complete when I first played it. I appreciate the attempt at trying varied gameplay through gamemode switches, but most of them fall short because of how little space there is. Now that the final room has been nerfed however, I can recommend this level if you think you're skilled enough for it.
