This may be a hot take, but I actually like the gameplay MORE than the visuals in this level. This level... it just looks awful. If there's one trend I will always hate with a burning passion, it is the practice of combining pixel blocks with legitimate artwork to create some sort of hybrid style. It's almost always hideous, and should really stop. Like, pixel blocks were not added to be used in high intensity cinematic experiences, they're there for the little guys just trying to make a rate worthy level. I will always hate this practice.
I know I said this plays better than it looks, but like, don't take that as meaning the gameplay is any good. It's still buggy, camera-shifty, and above all elses, uninteresting. In relation to the other NCS gauntlet levels, I would still say this probably has the worst gameplay, but it just so happens to be better than the level's design that probably misrepresents it as being good if I don't address it. Nothing else profound to add here, other than that Jova is a big step up from this lol
Visually stunning and original Deco but the gp isnt enjoyable at all, the last part is My fav
This level honestly confuses me. Why does the robot thing just stop when it's about to touch the player? Why does it just disintegrate at the end. It's to the point where I can't even focus on anything else in the level, I'm just trying to figure out wtf is going on with the robot.
