I've asked a bunch of questions about zone pirate v and answered them using other levels. This is the answer to "What if zone pirate v was actually legendary worthy?"
I copied this from a google doc I made on a flight, so there might be some formatting errors
Heave ho is a pirate themed event level, and probably one of the best pirate themed levels of all time. The decoration remains consistently superb throughout the entire level, and has small details that really make it shine. Some notable parts decoration wise are the cutscene with “fire in the cannon” and the ship breaking at the end of the level. The gameplay is pretty good for the first half of the level, but it falls off in the second half due to some camera movements making it hard to tell when to click. I want to highlight the gameplay in the first drop (the back and forth ship part), which while seeming on paper that it would be very confusing for the player, it is done executed so well. The movements of the ship are intuitive, and is easily sight readable. The gameplay here is also very unique, I wish more levels did something like that.
Overall, heave ho is a really good level with excellent visuals and mostly good gameplay. I think the creator did a very good job making this level, a solid score of 9 out of 10 from me.
Boomkitty needs to be put down and I dont mean that in the playful joking kinda way
(Completed in 5/12/25)
For the first non-NCS event level, this was a pretty enjoyable one. It is another overly-detailed pirate level, with this one having 2.2 features in them, and like a lot of these kinds of levels, they are very overstimulating with all the visual going on making it hard to sight-read the gameplay. However I do think this one works quite well with how much the song hits and the parts having some sick effects that aren't too distracting to the gameplay when you've once learned it.
All that said I do wish the gameplay was a little more fun than just being baby-proofed by having auto-parts leading to low CPS, and other parts feel noticeably jank like the 57% UFO and most of the predrop parts. But I still had a decent time with most of the parts, and some of them do give me a cool feeling like the ship part moving back and forth at 20%. Won't blame the people who wouldn't like this, but for what it is, I still had a good time despite the flaws.
Total Attempts: 85
1st half is REALLY good but the 2nd half drops the ball so hard. So much obnoxious camera controls and it's really hard to tell between deco and gameplay.
Also watch boomkitty make a hyperbolus account just to say "SHIVER ME TIMBERS" on this level
Some of y'all talking about this shi like it was a map pack I didn't expect to enjoy it this much though the last two sections are really hard to read
