Really cool conceptually, but as a level, it just isn't good, sorry. The best aspect of the level is that it's fairly approachable as a top extreme demon, but this means that the gameplay is extremely basic and not very interesting to play, and also lasts a millenia, which I personally do not think works well with purely 1.0 gameplay. I do think it does a good job with the restrictions that were placed upon it's gameplay, but again, just because the concept is cool doesnt make it a good level. I'll give it credit that it does what Marathon attempts to achieve but better, but that is not a high bar, and I honestly prefer Marathon's visuals even with the really cool background Every End has. Speaking of which, the background is the only thing going on visually. I think it's a great concept and works well with the 1.0 theme, but it doesn't make the level as a whole any less underwhelming for me. This level would work better staying as a "what if" in my opinion.
the gameplay is actually so fucking innovative for the limitations. not only is it entirely 1.0 assets (except the bg and other non-gameplay assets) it’s got no pad or portal usage. probably my favourite mindcap project alongside the likes of limbo and cosmic level
I understand the interest people have in this level for being this big level to aim towards and triumph over, and I do feel that it fits perfectly in that whole aspect of being a sort of "final challenge" however I am not a big fan of the gameplay being the same relative cube timings over and over for the whole thing, as for the deco without the background effect (as cool as it is) it's a layout so there's not much to say there.
