insendium’s weird 2.0 level. for a level that’s not that good i still think about this level a weird amount, probably due to what insendium meant to me in 1.9. not terrible by any means, just does not line up especially well with what you’d expect from the creator, the king of very straightforward design levels with cool gameplay
I dont know how this guy made fun levels even in early 2.0. This also has a pretty unique bossfight at the end, which is kinda chokable but not bad

A guilty pleasure of mine- this is tied with Sapphire Surge as Insendium's worst level, but the gameplay here is some of the most fun I've ever played. Unlike Flaklypa's or Tetrix's more nuanced approach to gameplay, Mayday's gameplay is much more bog standard and empty for its time, yet the sense of flow in this gameplay is so weirdly good I can't help but enjoy it. Think about that transition from slow UFO to fast wave, how well it lines up with the gameplay despite being incredibly simple- it's just a straight shot for the entire time. Yet, I know all you free-thinkers were clicking or tapping to the beat- and that's enough to be good gameplay! It's so weird.
Aside from that there's literally nothing of interest to talk about with this level. I guess you could talk about the bossfight- it's a novel approach- but it's a bossfight, unless you're Serpent's Wrath what's the point in talking about it in depth? There is none.
