On one hand I do think this aims towards a much younger demographic than would be fitting for me. On the other hand, this is such a delightful level with great bosses, amazing gimmicks and gameplay sections, and an overall consistently nice decoration style. Pretty much screams massive in almost all aspects imaginable of level creating. I do think I like this a bit less because it has the effect of being a sugary treat, but goddamn this is a very nourishing sugary treat.
It's insanely well made, but I didn't really enjoy it that much.
some awkward at best gp moments (im talkin about you, sirius bossfight) but there's a truly impressive amount of exploration-based optional content here
tt2 deathmogs this in pretty much every way
ok replayed after mythic rate, i don’t really enjoy bossfight levels so take this with a grain of salt. kinda felt unfair with some bossfights (especially the length) and how some attacks are just…not fun. this applies to almost every platformer bossfight but it’s especially bad hete for obvious reasons. i also wish (and this goes for br1) that the level used entirely original bosses instead of reusing ideas from other ones.
I've played the original Boss Rush by TicLos, and I thought it was pretty solid. It's a nice little run back to some of the most iconic boss fights in the game. Definitely leaves a lot to be desired though, so not really a high enough rating for me.
Now with Boss Rush 2 however. Holy freaking improvements. This expands beyond the first level by 10x the mile. It's another "3" round Boss Rush with some other iconic boss fights, but here, there's a lot to explore from within the platformer before you actually fight the bosses. The bosses here compared to before have different mechanics specifically catered to them, and some can also carry once you actually beat the bosses. It is something in which I think the first Boss Rush kinda lacked, cause before it was all "go to this specific point and the attack will land," and really missed a lot of opportunities of doing something that's unique to them specifically.
I really enjoy this platformer. Has a lot to explore, really fun bosses, and also has an interesting story to offer. (Also, voice acting in a GD level. Really nice touch)
I love how this doesn’t rehash what the previous level did, but expand upon it and add so much more!! The level is really fun to explore, and the bossfights are quite fun…
