It's far from difficult to have fun playing it, but I'd be much more willing to look past the technically-limited nature of Revolution's once cutting-edge effects if there was even a semblance of a unifying theme or aesthetic behind them; that just isn't the case. With retrospect it's clear Revolution shares more in composition with pre-1.9 levels, tragically subverting FunnyGame's intention to demonstrate the potential of the game's most influential update. Mind-blowing as I'm sure it was, patrons of 1.9 would have to wait just a little longer for the true revolution.
About as good as 1.9 level can be. It’s so cool every time to see a Funnygame level push the boundaries of its time while still having limited options. The final product is an iconic level for its time, a little bit dated for today but it’s still great to see what was possible with so few. Good funnygame level
A beautiful masterpiece with excellent song representation. FunnyGame has always been one of the best creators in the game, and was truly a revolutionary between 1.8-2.0. Revolution is one of his best with it being one of the first ever levels with a true rainbow effect and also pioneering the entire effect field within GD. Everything about this level is perfect in its execution, and none of the gameplay lacks in comparison to the deco, keeping up consistently with the style and the gameplay matching perfectly to every effect. I wish I could put into words how well made this level is for its time, but it really just is perfect.
