There is something about Swithi style that is so appealing to me. I think that out of a lot of 2.0 creating styles, theirs feels the most nostalgic and idealized to me. The usage of glow gives a bit of a heavenly feel which I think fits 2.0 aesthetic really well. Despite all the great I can say Swithi style, it's quite disappointing that their style was used in service of poor concepts, this level probably being the most egregious example. Conical Depression needs to be in that layout style as the main focus here is the gameplay and how that takes presidence over structuring. The opposite applies here, and it results in taking away a lot of the intrigue that made Conical Depression of at least some worth over this level. It transforms a very avant work into something with structuring indistinguishable from other more mid, popular contemporaries of its time, and I think it comes as a bit of an insult to KrmaL's work, this statement that everything needs to be glitzed and glamored up.
Again, I think Swithi has a really cool style- their work on Relucence catches lightning in a bottle in a way that other creators have not, but it's levels like Chuwi or Mujigae that really disappoint me- such a cheery, hopeful style wasted on concepts that anyone with half a brain could've avoided wasting time on.
