(Completed in 4/23/25)

The only reason this took me more attempts than it should was because the coin route in the beginning was so less fun than the normal route. I just don't know why I couldn't pass it within every attempt.

But I don't want to criticize a level for its coin. I want to criticize it on the natural quality of the gameplay. And boy did I want this to be so much more fun than I did. Oh not to say this level is unfun, because it is a lot of fun with most of its sections, even if they took quite some time to learn. My problem is that the level has probably the briefest yet most random points that you can easily die to despite it not feeling right at all. Examples I found include the first mini wave, the extra spike at 24% making the robot jump much more annoying than it should, me not being able to hit the 27% yellow orb for some reason, the 50% section being hard to remain consistent, and even a random slope bug that happens once in a while at the 64% transition.

These more so contributed to my experience with the level, where I just wasn't able to go anywhere for the past ten minutes, especially how much I died trying to pass the beginning. So a somewhat rough experience was what made me figure out these small problems that tanked what could've been a top tier level in gameplay, because this had so much potential to be a possible favorite of mine. The way it utilizes its speed and click syncing, along with the TamaM-style deco, would make this a nice return-to-form-like level even if it was only a bit early from 2.1. I especially love the ending to this level and didn't find many problems with it compared to the latter parts. Darwin did not do a bad job with going for this specific deco style, as it still looks really nice for how much I have a soft spot for this style.

Ultimately, it's a good level that does a good job at trying to recreate TamaM's magic. But I wouldn't lie to say that it could've been so much better due to the small problems holding it down for me.
