This levels got a bit of the je ne sais quoi, where I can't exactly define a clear reason why it stands out so much from its other "modernist/minimalist" peers but for some reason I just always come back to it whenever I play this game, what 5 years later (unrelated to the gauntlet even). I think it's maybe the level of polish and consistency across all the effects. Just a super cohesive piece of art.

Love how the sense of scale gradually shifts across the level: at the start everything envelops around you, the camera seemingly from a birdseye view; by the end you're standing over the world which even you tower over

decided to raise the score of this one because i went to replay it and its not only a good fit to end off the portal gauntlet but its also way better than i remembered
