this is just a big middle finger to the featured tab being so bland and boring while being bland and boring. the message is way over the actual content of the level for me to consider it as a deep interesting message instead of a representation of everything it doesn’t like (which doesn't help when going against it)
Since the level is completely blank, I am forced to give it a 5.
a pretty apt message for the time that still holds up today but honestly i mostly come back to this level because i just... like it as a level? like all messaging aside the emptiness of the level with the ambient music in the background comforts me in a way and i unironically really enjoy it as an auto level, even if thats not its intended purpose in the slightest
i do agree with wless that there are a lot of worthless, uninteresting levels that clog up the featured tab. but the first step in subverting this is making an experience that's actually interesting, which in the radiator fails to accomplish. i can appreciate what wless is going for here, but his other levels do a much better job at being "a huge 'fuck you' to current creating standards" by being creative and unique while still working within the confines of what makes gd levels enjoyable
I never thought I would say this about a level, but in the radiator is… too engaging? As such, the level fails to get its point across even with the Pastebin. Remove the slopes, the pulses and glow sphere intersections, then extend it to 40 minutes, and maybe then we would have something here.
I’m not interested in discussing the Pastebin at length, but I agree that creator points harm creativity and wish they had less visibility in-game.
