Theory of Everything might be my favorite GD main level. If you were to ask me back when I originally beat the main levels around 2016, I would have never chosen this one. Levels like Blast Processing, Clutterfunk, or the unreleased Fingerdash would have been my pick. But this one really sticks out to me years later with its great gameplay, and with something almost resembling theming that revolves around the supernatural (we got elements like crop fields at the UFO part, clouds and space towards the end of the level). They almost entertain the ideas of cryptids, myths, and urban legends which I find to be really cool and underrated for a pre-1.9 level. And of course, the UFO being the new gamemode here, and the song name itself. Such an awesome thematic concept.
The thing that really tops it off for me though is something most probably find insignificant. Robtop made the BG flash red if you choose the wrong path in some of the UFO choose-way sections. I think this is such an awesome concept and way ahead of its time for 1.5. It also ultimately paved the way to non-linear gameplay, eventually leading to our first minigames. I do think minigames would have happened eventually but this conscious effort to add touched triggered triggers early on most certainly sparked the minds of creators which would itself push into the minigame era.
Very forgettable. A huge step forward in visual design does not correlate with a huge step up. It's just so hard to latch onto Theory of Everything when everything's so all over the place, decoration, architecture, difficulty, everything. It's like Clutterfunk but without any semblance of a theme and with a soundtrack only slightly less grating.
Un buen nivel que encima añadió al ufo,lo cual le sube bastante
unmatched aura. relies on nothing but its own elegance to make a level that's both SO fair feeling and challenging in a traditional rage game sense at the same time
