God, what an awful send-off. This is less of one final masterpiece from a beloved artist and more of one last pathetic work from someone who's way past their prime. Shattered Space was an exception and I think it dried up all his remaining talent.
Let's start with the good: The effects and backgrounds by themselves are nice, and the first logo is also nice. Ok that's it now for the bad
The song sucks. That one drum(?) sound that starts after the first ship just sounds off somehow and the whole thing feels very empty. This really isn't aided by the poor sync: random portals and pads, unjustified transitions, and a lack of anything good. This bad sync also carries over into the gameplay and makes it very boring to look at and thus forgettable. The gameplay is also built on a series of structures that are at best inoffensive but in many cases clash with the backgrounds.
