An awesome thing about Sillow as a creator is that they are always able to come up with unique ideas and themes that have never been done before. A prime example of that is their Insane Demon BREADBOARD, which was released around a year ago. The level takes a very interesting approach theming-wise, as it makes the player travel through an obstacle course entirely made out of electric wiring on a breadboard. I love this idea personally, and the way Sillow executed this idea is phenomenal. All their creativity went into designing this level in the most interesting ways. I love all the creatures and little details added into the design, personally. They give the level a very unique touch and make everything feel very lively and charming. I am also a fan of how the designs on the breadboard get a lot more complex in the later parts of the level. This form of progression is awesome when it’s well executed, which Sillow definitely succeeded in. Personally, I didn’t find anything I disliked about the level visually. I can see the argument for the level feeling a bit cluttered and overwhelming being made, but I didn’t have an issue with that, personally.

Gameplay-wise, I also liked BREADBOARD a lot. Everything focuses on a more memory-based gameplay style, which works very well with the theme, in my opinion. I beat the level multiple times in the past and once again for this review, and I wasn’t able to find any parts that stood out in a bad way. There are some elements that take a while to learn and end up being very confusing, but for a level of this difficulty something like that is to be expected. What made the level especially fun to me was the way the song was represented in the gameplay. As mentioned before, the gameplay is very memory heavy, but is still able to sync very well to the song and feel intuitive. I rarely see this in levels nowadays, which made BREADBOARD even more enjoyable for me to execute.

I am very impressed by what Sillow achieved with BREADBOARD. I love the unique theming and the execution, and the gameplay was highly enjoyable and satisfying as well. There might be some parts that have a bit of a cluttered feeling, but I think the level does a fantastic job overall. This level is for sure my favorite of Sillow’s works, and I am looking forward to what they have planned next.
