This level is so beautifully constructed it's almost hard to explain. MCres's style make this level very lenient on the eyes, and it doesn't have many effects going for it, but the art is so so wonderful and pleasing to look at. The song is practically in harmony with the level the entire way through, and the resounding sense of loneliness and desolation it gives off in sync with the level is hard to match. Almost all you witness are the leftovers and remnants of a society that existed before you, followed by a great flood that is actively sweeping away the map as it progresses. Then the ending hits you with this huge, open scene revealing tons of massive structures that this society built. You also learned that this society advanced, they built higher, their technology blossomed, but in the end it was all left behind for some reason. The decoration IS perfect but does kind of fall off near the end, though I'm still giving it a 10 for the experience alone. This level uses rather unconventional gameplay, no duals, no wave, you feel very grounded during some of the parts. I would also like to mention the drop happens nearly 2 minutes and 30 seconds INTO the level, which gives you some insane nerves. I died many many times past the drop because it's the most difficult part of the level, but beating it felt like a genuine accomplishment at the time. This level is perfect, great atmosphere, fantastic song, challenging gameplay, I would absolutely recommend.
my fav mcres level. the atmosphere is simply immaculate
