Not my favorite entry but perhaps the strangest absence in the results. A lot of the ones I prefer - i.e. Globular Cluster, Supercollider, Dyson, Planispheres - aren’t exactly in line with the usual tastes of whoever’s judging these contests (plus two of those are too hard for the guidelines set), but Hideout on the other hand is super refined and seemed like a slam dunk into the gauntlet by all means. Very surprising exclusion.
