Goated. This is the type of artstyle experimentation I want to see more of in GD levels instead of just representational art of landscapes or machinery or whatever. This captures a vibe that really gels with GD's existing artstyle while also blazing a trail of its own, which is an elusive feat that only the likes of levels such as Black Blizzard or Out of this World are able to do so. It's also just hype as hell- the song choice and OS aesthetic makes this whole level feel exciting and fresh.
This is close for my favorite level from ElectricNJ, and if this level was only its second half it probably would be, but I think where this falters is that the parts in the first half are a bit monkey-pawed:
The first few parts of the level has fantastic gameplay and sync but it's aping a bit of the song's music video with the visuals, and the intro is a bit frustrating to play through over and over again.
The quiz section is a really novel concept (reminds me of those engagement bait posts about PEMDAS on twitter), but I think it suffers a lot from having the same three expressions instead of randomized ones, which might've been a bit more evil (good evil) and more engaging. This also takes the square motif from the music video but I think Electric recontextualizes it decently well.
Still, this is a great level despite my nitpicking of those two parts, and to reiterate, that second half is fantastic- such a fun and mystifying UFO part followed by a really hype wave part that takes a unique spin on the ornate structures seen in witness. Keep on killing it.
