This is a "level" mix "layout" I made when I was sick and had nothing else to do. It is pretty unserious and was purely made for fun. It wasn't even meant to be a level mix at first, I just wanted to make an overdefo-styled gp but I ended up not remaking his gp that well when I got to the wave and I thought that wave looked awfully similar to a flash level so I was like what if I made a level mix instead? And what resulted was a very unpolished and inconsistent level mix with some of the levels I liked at the time that was made without little care in anything and that was made in 10 days (which is unheard of from me, especially for a 3min and a half layout).

I have several problems with this level or layout which I'm gonna talk about here. First is the level choices I've made. In all honesty, I picked whatever level I remembered and liked and tried to remake it. Most of these levels are particularly "deserving" of being in a collection of levels from the past but whatever as I said before, the levels I've picked where mostly levels that I liked. The problem I have though (which is more of a nitpick) is the lack of levels from different eras. There are 3 2.0 levels and 1 1.9 level in this level mix and the rest are all from 2.1 and mostly around the mid-2.1 era. It's not really a problem but in retrospect, I just gave too much importance to 2.1 levels. Then, the obvious issue here is the inconsistency. I said in the reviews of The Ultimate Demon and The Ultimate Return that consistency in a level mix detracts a lot from the identity of the levels. However, since I was not really experienced in the editor (and still not am today), they are levels that I remade quite well I would say like NEUTRA, Windy Landscape or Volare and other that were completely butchered by my lack of care and effort such as Nhelv, Feral or Removed Submission. The inconsistency in quality is really a problem here and I wish I gave myself more time to remake each level with an equal amount of care. I remembered spending a good morning into remaking Adventure and then rushing the remake of Nhelv in my stairs in like 1h to then copy-pasting assets from Congregation for the final part. You can easily tell that this layout was not the most serious thing I've made.

However, I still think that I did a good job at making this level. Yes, it is very inconsistent but honestly, I still think that most parts have an identity that is more or less preserved from their original counterparts and that make the level varied throughout its entire runtime. I still think that remaking the levels that way was mostly the way to go for level mix and that I did an ok job at doing it. And most importantly, making this was a fun time, it was never supposed to be something extraordinary, it's just a silly thing I made when I had nothing else to do and it happens to have a cool concept that, while not executed that well, was still interesting to explore and that I had fun working around with.

However, if given the chance, I would love to remake this concept into a more serious level (which is what I'm planning to do anyway so yeah)
