From my first decorated level, Qaue, to this is an unbelievable change. Very cliche at this point but there's a reason the contrast between the first and best levels in a creator's catalogue is so shocking
This is the level that I would change the least visually. Apart from some minor bits of song rep left out I genuinely think I'd leave this level as it is, which is definitely a first for me. However, what I don't really like as much is the progression, especially in the latter half. I think the level's runtime is rather short for such an amazing song but truthfully I got tired of building this, as seen by the rather rushed endscreen. The only other viable endpoint for the song is at the end of the 7 minute song so I guess it's not all my fault...
I also experimented with the gameplay quite a lot in this one, with mixed reception. Focusing on high-cps was very fun to play around with but my inability to structure and my abhorrent sense of rhythm made the parts focused on clicksync rather janky to play. I overall think the gameplay is pretty fun, and I got some playtesters to fix some difficulty spikes. The last wave was initially extreme demon difficulty partially due to it being modelled after Rage's wave part, and only after several iterations was it at an acceptable difficulty. Fun. My favourite gameplay section in this is probably the ship. It was the second hardest part to build (after the UFO which was painful), and I was inspired by a few Funnygame levels (and Unity by TriAxis and Funnygame) to come up with the idea.
Probably my best level so far, but still room for improvement. Also, I haven't checked to know for sure, but I am very certain this is one of, if not the least known level to appear in any GD awards video, ever. Shoutouts to Robert for placing this in the 25th page of the featured tab
