"Inspired" by You Have To Win The Game is an understatement, it's not a direct replica by any means but this level doesnt do a whole lot to separate itself from its primary source. It's a fun metroidvania experience all around, the rooms are memorable enough to make navigating the world fairly doable. Despite the experience falling into monotony more and more over time, there is a solid attempt at keeping things fresh with new abilities and some varying assets/scenery, the repetition is a serious critique for a level of this length but I wouldn't call it an insultingly bad quality in this case. I believe the bigger issue to sit in the level suffering from an identity crisis, the physics and the entire visual approach are customized beyond recognition of what makes plat mode what it is and I dont think GD serves as a real game engine in that sense. Its overwhelming amount of ambition is simply redundant, and with how poorly it blends in with the rest of levels on the server it feels more like a form of false advertising than real ingenuinity. The structure of the level is designed really well, it's undeniably a fun time for anyone obsessed with metroidvanias, but I cant overlook the patrionizing nature of the level trying so hard to be something that wont fit its role well. I wouldn't recommend against playing it per say, it's just not my thing
