When I originally beat this level in Early 2.1 I hated it but I replayed it recently in 2.2 and didn’t find it that bad.

First of all, this level uses a very unique swing copter mode that I haven’t seen in any other level. That alone gives Zobros a few points in terms of creativity. The swing copter here is extremely staggered, making your air ball’s movement diagonal at all times. This makes every input extremely calculated - unlike most swing copter levels where you can react on the spot, you need to be precise with your inputs here to get the trajectory you need.

0-10% is auto. Understandably, the level would be better if you cut out this intro but I understand Zobros needed to hit the time limit and wanted to include the song’s buildup.

10-20% is the first swing section and is tricky - if you touch any obstacles you’re dead and if you mess up the trajectory into the one block gap at 20% you’re dead.

20-56% is the second swing section and easily the hardest part - first you transition from 0.5x speed to 1x speed which forces you to recalculate every trajectory from before. Second, you have a really annoying part where you have to straightfly swing copter through three tight corridors. Third, at the end of this part you have to get close to the floor to get under the platform at 56% which is much tighter than it looks. I’d recommend practicing from 20% a lot, try to do 20-56 in one run before doing normal attempts.

56-88% is the third swing section and the final hard part of the level. You have to count your inputs here precisely to get the right gravity at the edge of each slope. You’re at a higher speed now which means you don’t need to tap as much as earlier to straightfly. Try to do 56-100 a few times before doing attempts in normal, this part isn’t as bad as it looks but dying here is painful.

88-100% is free, just don’t choke the final orb jump.

Really the only reason you’d dislike this level is because it’s rated 5 stars. I think this level would be fine as an easy / medium demon, it’s really nowhere near as bad as people say it is. I am giving this a 9/10, partially to offset the review bombs others have left on this level, but also because I admire how Zobros repeatedly innovated in the 1.9 era.
