You know, it's been so long since I've ever touched on another travel level. Ever since Lonely Travel, I have always been hesitant to go for any other travel level since I'm usually not the go-getter for super XXL levels. There are exceptions like WELL RESTED and commatose are favorites of mime, but travel levels specifically felt like mental road blocks if I ever go for them. So I guess to torture myself further for that I decided to beat three travel levels back to back to fill in the gaps of my list of demons because why not.

Starting with this one, I was really expecting to hate this one more but I got SUPER lucky fluking this from 21%, but this is also far from the best travel levels. While I can normally tolerate slow levels if done right and paired with a great atmosphere (Still Life is a good example), this one was a little too slow for me to enjoy more and it doesn't really do anything interesting or fun with it. Lonely Travel works because that level has some really unique gameplay moments that weren't seen much during that time. This one is like 95% half speed, with only speed picking up at the very last 80%, and not one part felt like it was doing something for me. It doesn't help how some orb patterns felt really awkward that it makes choking this six and a half minute level very possible. I just somehow got stupidly lucky when I started from 0%.

Does the level's atmosphere work for me at least? Eh kinda. It's definitely carried by the song since I do love SteamPianist's work, and there are some neat sections that build that tension like the lab collapsing at 36%. And while there are still some cool parts even for that time, others look kinda empty and void from any substance. Like there's a section starting at 70% that looks like it was ripped exactly from Hypnotic Travel, and looks eerily identical to that level. It also just kinda gives me the same vibe as it being yet another travel level, so it kinda looses a bit of its wow-factor for that.

A long review I know, but I feel like I needed to talk more about this one on how what can be done right or wrong when making travel levels and XXL levels in general. This one is far from terrible, but it could've done some aspects a lot better than being really slow and another travel level.
