Bringing this up because I lost 2 reputation on here for doing this (despite being a relatively productive reviewer). My reasoning is that my own levels are my own artistic vision and came from by brain. They're specifically what I want to see in this game, so of course I'm going to be biased towards them. It has nothing to do with ego and I'm not trying to come off as a narcissist rating my levels. It's fine to not like your own art but in general I think people should strive to do so, and it's important to be proud of the stuff you made.

I think you should be allowed to review any level you feel like. Hyperbolus isn’t a competition about whose level is “objectively” the best, since there will be bias no matter who is reviewing, plus all the scores get averaged out in the end. No one should care TOO much about a rating someone gives a level.

I will say though, if you are going to rate your own levels, it would be great if you wrote about what makes that level so special to you, as it would be great to get more insight from the creator of the level.

Vam and Freaks are amazing btw; Vam especially deserves a 10/10 🙄🤚

I do not appreciate Vam or Freaks and would rate them 0/10

I would never rate my own levels 10/10, that could never be me

I think most people that create probably are self-aware enough to not at least blindly give their levels 10/10's. Usually most creator's that I've seen talk about their levels try to be more objective about what they've made. And if a creator thinks that their level is their masterpiece, then they should be able to reflect that in their rating. Really the closest to someone doing that is WHErwin putting his own levels in his lists of the top 50 greatest insane and extreme demons.

Oh brother, this guy likes to give bias to himself. IMAGINE.

(For real though, I don't know why that isn't ok, but hey, you're the one that made the level, it's ok to be biased towards yourself.)

@ManiacDan, actually God does forbid being proud of themselves. Pride / self-love is a mortal sin.

If you ever find yourself in the position of giving your own levels 10/10, you need to go to your local church and appreciate the Word of the Lord.

I appreciate this level

Slarg does not forbid being proud of yourself and that's all that matters
