-Remove the "good remake" tag because a remake tag already exists why would there be a tag that states an opinion

-Add the ability to add friends

-The rating system for tags appears to be weighted very strangely - you'll vote down on a tag and the approval will only go down 1% when it's obvious the tag doesn't have enough votes to make sense. also, why does the approval start at 30% and not 100%

-when clicking on the levels tab it should automatically sort from highest ranking to lowest. It also might be cool for the top 10 levels to get a special graphic or something, like when looking at the highest to lowest ratings it'll have a #1 next to the top level and so on until #10

also, when you go on someone's profile you should be able to click the number of reviews they have and see them all listed. same for forum posts

  1. Noted, will think about

  2. Will do

  3. It's weighted this way so that one person cannot tag levels with no tags and unanimously get 100% approval for their opinions.

  4. I am not confident in how sound the rankings are with so few ratings to make them stand out or give them any special attention yet

relating to the tagging system again - i don't really see how the current system fixes that problem? it just makes it so everything has low approval but the approval is still going to be similar for all tags so how is that any different? and regardless of what the approval starts at, i think my point that if you vote down or up on a tag it should change by a more extreme value is still valid

It's actually changing very drastically when a single person votes, and the amount changed will drop off over time as more people vote. But again, they are weighted so that it is not absolutely a huge amount of influence for one person.

The algorithm for this is called a Bayesian Average which you can read about here: https://www.algolia.com/doc/guides/managing-results/must-do/custom-ranking/how-to/bayesian-average/ but the gist is that the ratings of a small group of people are trusted less than a larger group of ratings. If you have 2 items, one rated 5 stars and one rated 3 stars but the 5 star rated item was only rated by 1 person vs the 3 star rated one that was rated by five hundred people, which rating would you trust more.

I however, am not a statistician so the values I used to do this calculation (25% average rating with a confidence of 15) is very definitely flawed. More data is required before I can better tune these numbers to find a spot that works for what is best for all users and the site.

I think there should be a way to follow people, just like in other review sites like RYM or AOTY
