This level uses a wide variety of very interesting design choices. Again, I'm not a big fan of easy gameplay, but the deco definitely has a lot more going on. The seemingly random placements of objects all around the level greatly add to the atmosphere that it has.
Overall a pretty cool level. I'm a big fan of surrealism deco like this. I do feel that it could have been executed better, since the backgrounds do feel empty a lot of the time. The gameplay also wasn't always communicated the best, as it blends with the deco at times.
Laughably childish behavior. There is no way that this matters that much to you.
I love this level for its lonely, somber atmosphere. Perox8's deco style really shines in amplifying the feeling it has. However, The gameplay really isn't my favorite thing. I'm not a big fan of slope gameplay, and Flower Peak uses quite a good bit of it.
I love experimental levels like this. Out of This World sports a unique, hostile atmosphere that is greatly exemplified by its song. Personally, the gameplay isn't my favorite thing ever, but it works well for what the level is trying to do.
If this wasn't rated it wouldn't be nearly as hated as it is
Of course, this doesn't make it any good.
This was an excellent top 1 during its reign. in stark contrast to the frequent hell demons that top the classic list, this is a gloomy journey in the deepest parts of the ocean, with a supernatural air and a confusing story that I still can't quite understand the meaning of.
Traumatic demon!
I once tried to beat this as my first Insane Demon, but I dropped it after two 90% fails and over 3k attempts, which I have yet to surpass on any completion. This was hugely demotivating and without a doubt the worst experience I had ever had in this game.
However, that was over a year ago. I have two insane demons under my belt now (and 90% on Stellar Dubstep, review on that next). I got this on a roller a few weeks ago and was able to get the percentage in about 10 minutes. turns out I still know the click pattern.
I'm going to pick this level back up and finish it once and for all.
Far too hard for me to beat, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating it. Lotus Flower is a very calm change of pace from today's list demons, but what it lacks in 4x speed waves it makes up for with some of the most brutal duals in the game.
For a level named Balls Mountain, it's fairly tame. Pinecones has a history of making some very strange levels, but surprisingly, this isn't one of them. His usage of vanilla textures is still present, but it's used in a simple way to make a pretty nature level.
